Named after a real alley on East Fourteenth Street in New York, Tin-Pan Alley American Bistro has made a decent fist of its adopted Big Apple theme. It’s done a good job of transforming the corner that it’s located on, which is a somewhat awkward, long L-shaped corridor, into a snug place in which to dine and drink. Having said that, we do think that the bar’s rather unconventional location, at the very back, makes it a bit awkward for those pre-meal drinks. The ambience of the bar is nice, with dim lighting and a well-built bar that is accentuated perfectly with New York-style ironwork. Too bad that the area is not big enough for bar stools.
