Doors portraying personal pride and national heritage certainly brighten up our fair city, and if you take a good look around Indonesia you will find many stunning examples. Rob Doddemeade suggest we all have our own 'doorways to heaven'.

Home is where the heart is! And no matter how grand or humble your home may be, it's your little corner of the world, your little haven away from all the madness of the city. It's where you live with the most important people in the world - your wife and children - and for now, it's probably the closest you can be to heaven in this chaotic mortal world.
So why not make a statement that shows just how important your private world is to you and your loved ones. A little bit of imagination, paint or decorative design at the entrance of your home goes a long way to making such a statement.
Make a Statement!
Apart from making your home look more attractive, it says that you value
everything beyond these doors – 'this is my private world you
are entering and I trust you will respect it'.
If your neighbours displayed similar pride with their doorways, just imagine how attractive this city and your neighbourhood would look - especially compounds that comprise of numerous town-houses, terraced or semi-detached houses.
A bit of wrought iron here or wood carving there, a touch of brass or
stained glass, feature lamps, whatever it takes to make these 'doorways
to heaven' if you like, as attractive and meaningful as possible.
