In another milestone for Jakarta retail scene, graniph, the highly successful brand from Japan opens its doors to public on July 19th, 2008 located in Plaza Senayan. Jakarta is the second in South East Asia to host the highly successful concept.

graniph started its history in the late '90s. Set up by three graphic designers, they opened up their first store in Shimokitazawa. Using the principles of their design background and responding to the changing social and economic situation they decided to bring out a product that has a high design value but without the high designer price tag.

graniph produces 30% of their T-shirts designs in-house, then 30% each are from Japanese artist and international designers. The remaining 10% are collaborations, award, and special event T's. Their in-house designs are in the distinct graniph style wich features a strong European design of the 60's and the 70's influence. They are therefore always on the lockout for illustrators, graphic designers, and photographers that fits the graniph concept.

All T-shirts are produced in limited quantities, with each design numbering no more than 1,000. Each week you can find at least three new designs in the store.
