Every year, Jakarta RACE (Race Against Cancer Everyone) has always been a great success. Following the tremendous success of Jakarta RACE 2007, the same event will be held again in Jakarta on Sunday, August 24th. This charity event is organized by the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta together with the Indonesian Cancer Foundation, HSBC, PT. Roche Indonesia and adidas Indonesia. This year, RACE aims to collect Rp. 700 million in cash donations and attract 7,000 participants. Last year, RACE collected Rp. 460 million and drawn 4,000 participants.

Wearing the official RACE t-shirt sponsored by adidas Indonesia, the participants will walk, jog, rollerblade or use their wheelchair to travel the designed route of 5k or 10K. The 5 km is designed for family fun run, while the 10 km is reserved for more serious runners. After the RACE, participants will be pampered with complimentary refreshments provided by the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta, live entertainment and lucky draw prizes. The RACE will start at 7.00 a.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel and with opening registration at 6.00 a.m. The pre-registration started on July 24th to August 15th at Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta or at adidas Sport Performance Centers. This year, RACE will highlight four most common cancers - Lung Cancer, Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer and Colorectal Cancer. Donations will be used to help patients and also educate people about them.
